First stop: the stunning InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort – where 5-star luxury meets wild natural beauty.
Designed by Bill Bensley (White Lotus Koh Samui), this resort offers:
A short transfer from Da Nang airport
A private stunningly beautiful bay with loads of monkeys in the surrounding jungle
A Michelin-starred French restaurant
A serene world-class spa (one of the best I’ve ever been into)
Just a quick drive to charming Hoi An
Easily accessible from the UK, and a short flight from Singapore
Vietnam’s charm is in its authenticity – and this is the perfect place to start discovering it.
A short private boat ride from the mainland transports you to a secluded bay framed by impressive rock formations and a white sandy beach — a true hidden gem.
We stayed in a beachfront bungalow just steps from the sea, complete with a private pool, dreamy outdoor showers.
The vibe? Understated, effortless elegance — minimal makeup, sandy toes, and total relaxation.
Highlights:
Biking to breakfast through jungle paths surrounded by monkeys!
Their own vibrant house reef (incredible snorkeling).
Water sports, hiking, soap making, yoga & sound healing.
A lush, sustainable garden growing most of the vegetables served daily.
Full eco-conscious design: solar panels, bees, farm-to-table menus — every detail thoughtfully curated.
And of course, the discreet service that makes everything feel seamless.
Vietnam continues to surprise and delight — a magical few days spent unwinding in serious style.
Next stop: the Mekong River, then Phu Quoc.
Phu Quoc
Just 15 minutes from the airport, I was welcomed with a chauffeured luxury car and stepped into what can only be described as beachfront perfection. The Regent delivers elevated, understated luxury at every turn — think spacious suites, private pools, curated interiors with top-tier finishes, and intuitive, seamless service. It’s 5 star luxury up there with the best hotels around the world.
Highlights:
Chef Andy’s sushi restaurant — a true culinary gem.
A breakfast spread that was as beautiful as it was delicious, with endless variety.
Complimentary in-room minibar and snacks, daily laundry/pressing for 3 items, and high-end touches from French plateware to even embossed paper.
An outstanding kids club (ages 4–12) — one of the best I’ve seen worldwide.
Regent Spa, ideal for a restorative end-of-trip treatment.
Their private catamaran for snorkelling near the Cambodian border — a must-do.
Dress up or stay relaxed — this is resort chic at its best. And with direct flights from Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hong Kong, it's more accessible than you'd think.
For our clients, we offer exclusive Virtuoso & Select benefits at this property — early check-in, upgrades, resort credit, and more.
We also work with trusted local partners to deliver tailored experiences across Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Japan and beyond — complete with 24/7 local concierge support.
I personally visit as many properties as I can — relationships matter, and I want my clients treated extra specially.
After The Regent, I wrapped up in Ho Chi Minh City — vibrant, buzzing, and full of life. It reminded me of Bangkok 20 years ago: street food markets, temples, boutique shops, and cafés everywhere. A little chaotic, incredibly fun — and yes, a manicure was just £7!
Now back to reality (and a suitcase full of laundry), but so inspired by everything Vietnam has to offer.
